Fire Tube Single Shell, Single Pass
The fire tube single shell, single pass boiler is a simple, low cost solution for sub-critical waste heat boiler applications.
- Used when boiler steam quality is not a primary concern
- Design allows for small vapor space (limiting flexibility for handling rapid process condition changes)
- Not recommended for waste flue gas streams with a high dew point temperature
Fire Tube Single Shell, Multi Pass
The fire tube single shell, multi pass boiler is designed to be used with a furnace tube specified for high inlet temperature applications and when space arrangements require smaller footprints.
- Effective in sulfuric acid, sulfur condensers and reclaimer applications
- Boiler steam quality not a primary concern
- Design allows for small vapor space (limiting flexibility for handling rapid process condition changes)
